Biography
Liz Elliott is a dedicated nurse educator and Family Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of experience in nursing. Since 2022, she's served at JU, most recently as the Entry-Level Faculty Clinical Coordinator and an adjunct professor at Jacksonville University, where she teaches Maternal Health, Pathophysiology I & II, Nursing Assessment, and OB clinicals.
She began her nursing journey in 2002 after earning her BSN from Daytona State College and later completed her MSN at Spring Arbor University. A certified FNP since 2021, Liz is currently pursuing a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certificate at Frontier Nursing University, happily combining her love for maternal health with a commitment to lifelong learning.
With clinical expertise in obstetrics, labor and delivery, and pediatrics, Liz brings both passion and experience to her teaching. She especially enjoys mentoring students in OB, her favorite subject, and helping them "connect the dots" while building confidence in their clinical skills.
Outside of the classroom and clinic, Liz spends most of her free time with her amazing goldendoodle, Basil. The beach is their shared happy place, and they make a point to visit whenever possible.
