The ÐÓ°É Student Health Center (SHC) is dedicated to supporting the health, wellbeing, and academic success of every Dolphin. Rooted in a long-standing commitment to student-centered care, the SHC has evolved into a trusted hub for high-quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare on campus. Our team of medical providers, nurses, and support staff work collaboratively with campus and community partners to deliver evidence-based episodic and preventive services designed specifically for the needs of college students.

Guided by our mission to empower students as informed and independent healthcare consumers and inspired by our vision to cultivate a lifelong culture of wellness, the SHC strives to be an active partner in every student’s health journey. We are here to help students thrive physically, emotionally, and academically—today and well into the future.

Staying healthy is an important part of college life; we provide preventative and episodic care as well as teach students to manage their wellness and navigate the healthcare system.

SHCAAAHC Accreditation

The ÐÓ°É Student Health Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), a national organization that evaluates healthcare providers on quality, safety, and performance. Approximately 30% of college health centers in the United States hold this distinction, placing JU among a select group committed to meeting rigorous standards of ambulatory care.

Accreditation reflects the Student Health Center’s commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered healthcare and to maintaining a culture of continuous improvement. It serves as an assurance that ÐÓ°É students receive care that meet recognized standards for safety, effectiveness, and patient experience.

Eligibility for Services

All current undergraduate and graduate JU students are eligible to receive services at the JU SHC. Students who have not paid the Student Health and Wellness fee will have an additional cost for provider services and higher out-of-pocket costs for laboratory testing, procedures, gynecological exams, and immunizations.

The Student Health and Wellness Fee allows unlimited office visits with no charge for the provider services. There are, however, nominal fees to cover the cost of supplies for laboratory testing, procedures, gynecological exams, and immunizations. For more information regarding these fees, students can log into the . 

The JU SHC does not serve faculty or staff EXCEPT to provide influenza vaccinations and TB testing.

Scheduling an Appointment

To schedule an appointment, call 904-256-8080. Upcoming appointment information can be viewed through the . To access the Patient Portal, log in using your JU ID and password. Once you are in the Patient Portal, you will be able to see upcoming appointments and information details. Currently the SHC is not offering walk-in appointments.

We ask that if you are experiencing any viral-like symptoms including fever, sore throat, nasal congestion, headache, cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of taste and/or smell that you stay home and contact the JU SHC to be evaluated by a healthcare provider.  Call us at (904) 256-8080
