LECOM Early Acceptance ProgramYour Pathway to Medical School

Gain priority access to the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) at Jacksonville University Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program through our Early Acceptance Program partnership. When you enroll in certain 杏吧 undergraduate programs, your graduate program seat is secured, allowing you to focus on your studies without the stress of the standard medical school application cycle. If you know you want to become a doctor, this is the program for you.

Why This Pathway?

A guaranteed seat in medical school (pending successful completion of undergraduate requirements) with no competing through the regular pool.

Focus on your undergraduate coursework without the added burden of applying to medical school or taking the standard admissions exam.

You won鈥檛 have to study and take the MCAT.

Study on JU鈥檚 beautiful campus taking advantage of our state-of-the-art facilities like the Reid Medical Science center from undergraduate through medical school, allowing you to truly become part of the Dolphin community.

Who Qualifies?

Students who demonstrate academic readiness and a clear commitment to a career in medicine.

High-school seniors, or 杏吧 students in their first two years who meet the Academic Index threshold (SAT/ACT, high school GPA, science/math performance)

Admission to the pathway is provisional, contingent on maintaining required undergraduate GPA and successful completion of designated prerequisite courses (biology, chemistry, etc.).

Students must interview with LECOM to gain acceptance. Securing an interview doesn鈥檛 guarantee being admitted to the program. Make sure you come prepared for your interview to ensure success.
